Citizen involvement is the key to crime solving. With your participation, The Stark County Crime Stoppers is an effective crime-fighting tool.

How do I submit a Tip?

Submit your tip by texting: #STARKTIP.

At no time when submitting a tip will you be asked to provide your name.  A unique random number will be provided to each tipster submission.

When submitting a tip online, various fields can be filled out to provide as much information as possible.

When submitting a tip through texting, please provide as much information as possible.

Helpful information includes by is not limited to time of day, location of the crime or suspicious activity, license plate number(s), house number, and any other information YOU feel is important.

How do I remain anonymous?

The Stark County Crime Stoppers does not use Caller ID nor ask for your name, address, telephone number, and so on. We would rather not know this information to not only protect you, but to protect the integrity of the Crime Stoppers organization. Instead, you will receive a randomly generated number. This number provides a link for further distribution of a cash reward.

Tips submitted must carry through and be used to convict the appropriate person of a crime.  Only after conviction will a reward be provided.  Appropriate rewards are determined through law enforcement input to The Stark County Crime Stoppers board of director who, ultimately, make the determination of a reward payout.

How do I make a donation to the tip reward fund?

Crime Stoppers of Stark County, Inc. is a private, 501-(c)-3 nonprofit chartered organization. All donations are tax-deductible. Donations can be made online, or mailed to Crime Stoppers of Stark County, TBD.

How do I know if I am eligible for a reward?

Once you have given The Stark County Crime Stoppers a tip, you may hear either on the news or on the street, that the person you called about was arrested, or the crime you called about was solved and an arrest was made.   Return information of The Stark County Crime Stopperswill be through the random number generated at the time you submitted your tip.

My tip led to an arrest; how do I receive my reward?

The Stark County Crime Stoppers board of directors, ultimately, determines the cash reward for each eligible tipster through help and information provided by the participating law enforcement agency.

EXACTLY HOW TIPSTERS WILL BE CONTACTED AND RECEIVE THEIR REWARD WILL HAVE TO BE WORKED OUT BETWEEN TIP411 AND THE ORGANIZATION SELECTED TO DISTRIBUTE THE REWARD (MOST LIKELY A BANK BRANCH.)
