What is Crimestoppers?

Crime Stoppers of Stark County makes residents an important part in catching criminals through anonymous tips to law enforcement.

Our organization was formed on November 15, 2018, when bylaws were adopted.  It began with the help of  individuals, faith-based leaders, government officials, and community and government agencies. Among the agencies supporting Crime Stoppers of Stark County, are the Stark County Prosecutor’s Office and Stark County Sheriff’s Department.

Rewards are based on a case by case basis.  However, the more serious the crime, the higher the reward.  All leads must be verified, so the process isn’t instantaneous.  In Stark County, tips can be sent via text message and email.  The location and additional information will be relayed to the appropriate department.

Remember these are for tips coming in, not an active crime—911 handles those.
